JACOB "JAKE" PEPE

Jake, 21, tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident on October 31, 2019 in Houston, TX. He was a student at the University of Houston-Clear Lake where he studied Information Systems Technology and Cyber Security. Outside of his studies, he was an orientation leader, a member of the Campus Activities Board, and the founder of the UHCL ESports Club. He enjoyed gaming, cooking, and playing guitar, bass guitar, and tuba. He loved all sports, in particular rock climbing, golfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and bowling, and he had developed a passion for rugby. He put his whole heart into whatever he was doing, which was evident here at BARC.

He made it his mission to become a better player, and in that memory and his honor, we present the Jake Pepe Most Improved Player award every year at the end of season banquet to the player who has dedicated his season to (and succeeded in) improving, just as Jake did.
